Janie Ramsay moved to Annapolis after graduating from Rutgers University. She has been in the property management business for 25 years. After working in sales for other companies, she joined her sister’s property management company in 1993.
When Janie came to the company, the temporary furnished housing market was beginning to emerge. Janie grew the small division by quadrupling listings to nearly 100 properties within 1.5 years and surpassed the company’s expectations by leaps and bounds. One of the highlights of her professional career was when she and her sister won the Corporate Housing Provider of the Year Award in 2007. They were nominated by a peer and won the award from the Corporate Housing Providers Association: the premier National Association of their industry.
After her sister sold the company in May of 2017 to a Regional Vacation Real Estate Company, owners began contacting Janie to represent their homes for the multi month market. They seemed to miss the small company approach to representing them. She decided to open her own company in the Winter of 2018 specializing only in the Corporate and Temporary Housing Sector with the emphases on customer service. In the Spring of 2019, Janie began representing unfurnished properties when asked by a new apartment building owner to represent his entire building.
Janie is active in her local BPOE and volunteers for charities, community associations and currently serves as president of her golf league. Janie lives in Annapolis, MD and enjoys hiking, reading, volunteering, fitness, golf, travel and spending time with family and friends.
